Status Pages

Domain Pilot lets you create a public status page for any monitored domain. Share it with your users so they can check your service's availability without contacting support.

Enabling Your Status Page

1. Navigate to your domain's detail page
2. Enable Status Page Sharing
3. A unique share token is generated automatically

Once enabled, your status page is accessible via a public URL that requires no authentication.

Accessing Your Status Page

Token-Based URL

Every status page has a public URL in the format:

https://app.domainpilot.com/status/{token}

Anyone with the link can view your status page.

Regenerating the Share Token

If you need to invalidate the current URL:

1. Use the Regenerate Token option
2. A new token is generated
3. The old URL immediately stops working
4. Share the new URL as needed

Custom Domain

Serve your status page from your own domain (e.g., status.yourdomain.com):

1. Navigate to the status page settings for your domain
2. Enter your desired custom domain
3. Create a CNAME DNS record pointing your custom domain to the provided CNAME target
4. Domain Pilot verifies the DNS configuration

Once verified, visitors to your custom domain see your status page.

What Visitors See

Header

• Domain name displayed prominently
• Custom header color — A gradient background in your chosen color
• Current status — Clearly shows whether the domain is Online or Offline

Key Metrics

• Uptime percentage — Overall availability
• Average response time — Typical response time
• Monitored since — How long the domain has been monitored

90-Day Uptime History

A visual bar chart showing daily uptime for the past 90 days. Each bar is color-coded:

• Green — 99% or higher uptime that day
• Yellow — 95%–99% uptime that day
• Red — Below 95% uptime that day
• Gray — No monitoring data for that day

Visitors can hover over individual bars to see the exact uptime percentage.

Incidents

Both active and resolved incidents are displayed with status-appropriate icons:

• New — Red
• Investigating — Amber
• Monitoring — Amber
• Waiting — Blue
• Resolved — Green

A list of recent monitoring checks showing ping results.

Customizing Your Status Page

Header Color

Set a custom color for the status page header gradient:

1. Navigate to your domain's status page settings
2. Choose a color using the color picker
3. The header gradient updates to reflect your brand

Disabling Your Status Page

To take your status page offline:

1. Navigate to your domain's detail page
2. Disable Status Page Sharing

The URL immediately stops working. All incident data is preserved — if you re-enable sharing later, incidents will reappear.
