Connect AI Assistants
Manage your domains by chatting with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or any MCP client
Domain Pilot runs a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Add it to an AI assistant and you can ask things like "which of my domains expire this month?" or "add a TXT record to example.com", and the assistant does it through your Domain Pilot account.

Each guide takes about a minute.
Try These Prompts
Once connected, ask in plain language. Click a prompt to copy it.
How Signing In Works
When you add the server URL, your assistant opens a Domain Pilot page in your browser. Sign in if you are not already, check which app is asking, and click Approve. The assistant is then connected to your account. There is no token to copy or paste.
- You stay connected for as long as you keep using the assistant. After 30 days without use, it asks you to sign in again.
- Every request runs as you, so the assistant sees exactly the domains you see in the dashboard.
- Two-factor authentication is required. New accounts have a short grace period: 14 days from sign-up, or 24 hours after you connect your first registrar. After that the sign-in page asks you to set up 2FA before it lets an assistant connect.
Some clients cannot complete the sign-in flow, including Cursor and VS Code for now. For those, generate a static token instead. See Other MCP clients.
What the Assistant Can Do
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_domains | List your domains with status, health grade and monitoring state |
get_domain | Details for one domain: uptime, SSL, health, expiry |
add_domain | Add a new domain to monitor |
get_domain_health | Latest health check results, scores and grade |
run_health_check | Run an on-demand health check |
get_ai_analysis | AI analysis with findings and recommendations |
get_uptime | Uptime statistics for the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days |
get_dns_records | List the DNS records for a domain |
add_dns_record | Add an A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT or NS record |
update_dns_record | Change an existing DNS record |
acknowledge_dns_changes | Acknowledge detected DNS changes |
get_ssl_status | SSL certificate status and expiry |
get_incidents | Downtime incidents for a domain |
get_dashboard_stats | Portfolio overview: total domains, online count, alerts |
toggle_monitoring | Turn uptime monitoring on or off |
Deleting DNS records and domains is intentionally not available through an assistant. Those are the hardest actions to undo, so they stay in the Domain Pilot dashboard. Assistants also cannot touch billing, team or account settings.
Most clients ask you to confirm before a tool makes a change. Keep that on for anything that writes DNS records.
Manage Connected Apps
Open Settings → MCP in Domain Pilot. The Connected Apps card lists every assistant you have signed in with, when you connected it and when it was last used.
Click Disconnect next to the app to revoke access. The assistant loses access immediately and has to sign in again the next time you use it. Removing the connector inside the assistant may not revoke access on the Domain Pilot side, so disconnect here when you stop using an app.
Troubleshooting
The sign-in page says two-factor authentication is required. Your grace period has ended. Set up 2FA under Settings → Security, then start the connection again from your assistant.
The assistant says it is no longer authorised. Either the app was disconnected under Settings → MCP, or it went unused for 30 days. Reconnect from the assistant and sign in again.
The sign-in page shows "Can't connect this app". Domain Pilot did not recognise the app or its return address. Remove the connector in your assistant, add it again and retry.
